Based on Canada’s immigration target levels targets IRCC will invite 80,000 Francophones to apply for permanent residency admission outside Quebec in the next three years. The Government of Canada set an objective to increase Francophone immigration by 6% in 2024, 7% in 2025 and 8% in 2026.
Eligibility for Express Entry as a French Speaker
In 2023, Canada introduced a French-based category in its Express Entry system. This program is ideal for bilingual professionals:
- Age: 25 to 40
- Language: French & or English
- Work Experience: 3 years of foreign
- Education: College or university.
